A nice recognition meant that the results of the “Hitparade of the German marathon“ were posted in the professional magazine Spiridon. In it, the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon climbed to the rank of second place, only behind Berlin. The main reasons for the rise in the ranking is not only because of the fast Frankfurt course, but also because by the 35th edition of the marathon, 1107 participants finished in under 3 hours. „The popularity with the runners and the award through „Gold Label“, is a huge confirmation for our work. We find this as an incentive, to one again organise and outstanding marathin in Frankfurt.
By a poll in the Internet-expert portat, marathon4you.de, the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon was named the most popular German city-marathon. Among all of the voting, Frankfurt received the second most votes for the over 13,600 active participants in the voting, behind the Rennsteiglauf im Thüringer Wald.
