Caritas Charity Gate: Run And Donate!

It’s red, it’s large – you can’t miss it. The Caritas Charity Gates at kilometers 7 and 39 are your chance to do some good during your marathon. Because every runners who crosses the gate automatically donates 4 euro for an initiative of Caritas Frankfurt, the local chapter of the international catholic relief, development and social service organisation. It supports the health improvement of Frankfurt children in need.

During the last ten years we were able to collect more than 250.000 euro of donations which were used for 200 projects in Frankfurt. Race Director Jo Schindler is happy to have the Caritas as „a reliable partner throughout the years.“ Caritas director Gaby Hagmans is very happy about the continuation of this successful cooperation: „We have seen again in 2015 that the charity partnership with Caritas motivates athletes to donate for children in Frankfurt.“
When passing through one of these gates you are identified as a donor through your ChampionChip. You only donate if you purposely run through the gate and you can withdraw your donation after the race if you wish.
