The Generali Relay Marathon will be sending around 2000 teams on the course

The team competition a part of the running classic on the Main is highly loved and usually sold out.  By the Generali Relay Marathon everyone can get a taste of part of the course, if the whole 42,195 km is still too long.  This year about 2000 teams, each of them consisting about 4-man teams that will take on the fast and mood filled course.  The insurance concern Generali Germany AG steps forward this year as the naming giving sponsor of the relay marathon.  “The Generali helps improve the life quality with targeted prevention initiates for their customers and the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon offers almost like no other sports organizer a wide spectrum of offers for kids to running veterans, for starters and professionals.  This fits together perfectly”, says running director Jo Schindler.

The Generali in Germany, the second biggest first insurance concern in the German market, is new to the sports sponsoring and is now building up their engagement in the running sport.  With their strategy, “Improvement from insurance” and their focus on prevention and motivation to a healthier lifestyle is this group for their customers a reliable every day partner.

Mainova gets some prominence in the field of runners

Our title sponsor Mainova does it once again this year to give the hobby runners a special running experience by the oldest city marathon in Germany.  They energy concern gave out relay marathon starts, which gave the winners the opportunity, to run in a team with the professionals.  The former Eintracht Frankfurt soccer star Thomas Zampach, the winner of the Ironmann in Hawai 2017 Patrick Lange, the 2-time winner of the Ironman in Hawaii Normann Stadler, the Triathlete star Daniela Sämmler as well as Julian Flügel, Olympic participant 2016 Marathon are the captains of these teams.
